#05 Colony One at Sea Mt. Punalu`u

It was a nice spot in an area where there aren’t many places to stay. We liked the proximity to Volcano National Park and Punaluu black sand beach. It was a cute place and had the basics we would need while there. It’s definitely best suited for a couple, not a family. (Amenities were obviously for two people: beach towels, chairs, etc). The king size bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was exactly what one would expect it to be. This seems nit picky, but the pillows were awful. There had to be 6-8 pillows and they were all weird and uncomfortable. That was the worst part of the stay. We are a pretty forgiving and flexible family, and all of us complained about the weird pillows. Overall, worth it for the location. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and we made use of the grill, which was convenient because it was so close to this unit. Outdoor seating was nice, too.

Positive: The fact that it was close to the Pool. Negative: That it didn't have a rice pot, didn't have a washing machine and dryer in the unit. And no ac.

Really convenient and nice spot

Well-appointed condo in a remote but lovely setting. Easy walking distance to black sand beach with lots of sea turtles and a 30 minute jaunt to an erupting volcano. Property manager was very responsive and good with communication.

Great Get Away Location Positive: It was a great get away. I will definitely return. This unit was a prime location. Close to the pool. I hope when I return, this unit will be available again. Mahalo
